Full-time creators rarely rely on one income line. The stable pattern is three to five streams, with sponsorship as the largest but never the only one.

Sponsorships and retainers come first because they pay the most per hour. Affiliate commission comes second because it monetises the content you were making anyway.

Digital products — templates, presets, guides, courses — are third and have the best margin. Platform ad revenue is fourth: reliable on YouTube and Twitch, small elsewhere.

Beyond that: memberships and subscriptions, services and consulting for brands in your niche, and physical product or licensing deals once you have a recognisable brand.

The sequencing matters. Build audience trust, add affiliate links, launch one small product, then raise sponsorship rates using the demand you have proven.
